For A Limited Time: Mischief Kit

Happy Monday! Today we wanted to share with you guys a limited time item from our little shop: A Christmas Elf Mischief Kit!

Mischief Kit 2b1 560x373 For A Limited Time: Mischief Kit

Last year we introduced you to our elf, Toby. We don’t usually get too crazy moving him around the house because we don’t have kiddos to surprise and amaze. But, the elf on the shelf phenomenon certainly swept Blogs and Pinterest with hundreds of ideas. The ideas are GREAT, but who really has time to drive around town or claw through junk drawers finding all that stuff?

Hopefully we’ve found a way to help out with that by compiling 14 items (or item combinations) that can be used together or separate to help your elf have little adventures around the house.

The kit includes:

- Polka dot felt “blanket”
- Puzzle pieces
- Pom Pom Snowballs
- 12″ String of Christmas Lights
- 12″ Red/White Pom Pom Garland with clothespins for hanging
- Mini canvas and paintbrush
- Tool Eraser
- Mini cookie cutters
- Thread spool can telephone
- Mini Wreath
- Glass bottle with glitter Magic Dust
- Mini toothbrush “back scrubber”
- Train tickets
- Paper Map

Kit doesn’t include the Elf. You’ll have to buy that separately For A Limited Time: Mischief Kit

My favorite are for sure the tool erasers. We have hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and saws, so it will be a surprise which comes with every kit!

We’ll be taking orders and making shipments via USPS Priority every couple of days through December 7th. Spread the words for folks who have started this tradition but who might get caught up in the craziness of the season and could use a little extra help keeping their elf on the move. We’ll leave the listing up after this point for anyone who might want to give the kit as a gift.

On a side note, we have just a couple of our evergreen tree advent calendars left in the shop, so get one before they’re gone!

Heavy Metal

This fall, I’ve been really loving all the metal accents in home accessories. As someone who has always been shy of including metallics in design, I think its easiest to implement in small ways around the home, and I think barware is a natural place to start, so I put together a collection of a few of my favorites. With cozy dinner parties for the holidays starting up, pick up one of these awesome metal bottle openers for your bar or as a thoughtful hostess gift. You could also have them custom engraved as an extra special gift.

Given my recent love for faceted geometry, I am loving the Penta-Hex, maybe with a custom engraving from a local metal shop. Which is your favorite??

Harvest Time

I LOVE this time of year. You always think of summer as the time when food tastes so fresh and wonderful, but these golden days of September are when the harvest shows its true bounty.

The other day I was scrolling through my Pins and noticed several images from my “Arts and Prints” board that truly capture the colors and the festive spirit of the harvest season. When I clicked on the links, to my surprise they were all from the same shop, Anek. I thought I’d share a few of my favorites with you (click on the image for a link to each print).

Which is your favorite? I am torn between the plums and the tomatoes (although tomatoes usually win my heart).

In the Shop: New Colors & Pop Up Market

Hope everyone is recovered from a safe and happy independence day holiday here in the states. Seattleites always joke that summer doesn’t come until July 5th, and so true to form the clouds parted and today was perfectly sunny and warm. In the spirit of it finally being summer, we’ve listed some new colorways for our rope bracelets in the shop.

LEMONY!

Now that we’re halfway into June, the sun is starting to come out a little more regularly around these parts and its time to think about sitting on the patio sipping a refreshing bevvie. The other day I was snooping around etsy and came across this wonderfully ice yellow serving set at compostthis vintage.

I just love how ice cool the yellow is along with the simple lines and sweet brass detailing. Plus! Ombre! Naturally finding this sweet set led to searching for the web’s perfect lemonade recipes. Luckily for me I came across this roundup of 8 ways to pimp your lemonade. Sold! My faves? Adding orange blossom water or freshly grated ginger.

Those of you who have been reading our blog for awhile might know the real reason behind this celebration of lemons. . . .

3rd House Versary 560x380 LEMONY!

Its our house-a-versary!! 3 years ago today we got the keys to our little lemon house. Its been a great 3 years and hopefully we still have time to crank a few more projects for you while this place is ours icon smile LEMONY! To celebrate, and also celebrate the 3 years we’ve been blogging, we’re having a few fun giveaways later this week, so check back for those!

This also means we’ve beat out Uncle Sam! With the first time homebuyer tax credit, the feds required that the home be your primary residence for 36 months or else you had to repay it. But today, no more risk of that. huzzah!
