Hey Seattle! We just got word that there is an awesome show coming to town this week:
Have you ever been to a burlesque show? I hadn’t until a couple years ago, but I have to tell you they are SO much fun! I think they’re such an awesome example of female empowerment and the creativity is often through the roof. My blogging friend Tiffanie does burlesque and I’m always in awe of the acts she comes up with.
I love space themed things, and this show looks SUPER fun. Here are the deets:
“WHAT: Back by popular demand for its’ third run, Seattle’s burlesque all-stars blast off with their glittering sci-fi spectacle and fan favorite: The Atomic Bombshells are…”LOST IN SPACE!” Named “the city’s most dazzling burlesque troupe” (Seattle Weekly), and “Seattle’s most venerable burlesque dancers” (The Stranger), these award winning showgirls and boys are back from the east coast to celebrate their 10-year anniversary this November. Watch them pull out all the stops as they return to the gorgeous Triple Door theater with their most over-the-top show to date! With an otherworldly retro-future soundtrack featuring Joe Meek, Esquivel, and Raymond Scott, The Atomic Bombshells take you on an intergalactic voyage of sight and sound, filled with alluring aliens, slinky space adventurers, bodacious Barbarellas, and planetary princesses.
