Blueberry Picking

Like I said yesterday, we were recently invited to a friends’ family farm to help them with their blueberry crop this year. This year has been gangbusters for Washington State blueberries and their freezer was already full so we came to take some off their hands (twist our arms).

It was a beautiful day in the valley, and before we knew it, 3 hours had passed.

We picked almost 8 gallons and we have literally been eating and canning blueberries every free minute since. There are still 3 huge bowls in the fridge. Oye! Antioxidants FTW!

Have you ever found yourself with LOTS of produce on hand? What are your tips for making the most of it?
